They are currently recruiting for Senior Tableau Analytics Platform Engineer this is a key role within the Business Intelligence function, with a focus on improving the management information throughout the business.

The role is focussed on being a Tableau Product SME for the business rather than one focussing on developing reports and dashboards.

The role will design, implement, and support enterprise initiatives around BI Analytics platforms and influence critical BI programmes & projects that are key to the success of the business. This role will combine technical expertise and an advanced knowledge of Analytics tools to manage, develop and enhance the Analytics Platform – enabling high quality data sources over trillions of rows using a blazing fast in-memory database, and facilitate analysts and business users to self-serve information easily.

You will be part of a team responsible for shaping and enhancing the overall BI Analytics platforms & tool stack architecture while adhering to standards and guidelines during development. You will work closely with Global BI, IT Infrastructure & Operations, data warehouse teams and help to identify the tool stack related requirements across the organization, assist in the creation of data governance & data security framework and ensure the scalability and availability of Analytics platforms round the clock.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the administrative and support activities across a high availability Tableau infrastructure including installation, configuration, server patches, security administration, release management, troubleshooting and general systems maintenance.
• Lead the Product roadmap & backlog for our Tableau Platform, suggesting which improvements to make and what upgrades to make etc.
• Responsible for scalability and sustainability of Tableau architecture & design and take the ownership of data governance & data source/semantic layer development.
• Provide scalable solutions for handling large data volumes, maximizing use of underlying in-memory database, complex reporting & interactive dashboards.
• Interact with all areas of the business to ensure the Tableau reporting environment fits with current requirements and drive new initiatives.
• Work closely with the business users & technical teams to understand requirements, develop & deliver automated solutions with a clear business focus & requirement.
• Propose, develop & deliver new automations / applications that can automate administrative tasks, or improve our Analytics or Data Science capability.
• Work closely with the BI stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop & deliver self-service solutions for dashboards, ad-hoc & scheduled reports with a clear business focus & requirement.
• Identify ways to leverage the capability of our Data Science platform within Tableau. Use R & Python to enhance Tableau outputs in industry leading ways.
• Establish and enforce data quality standards to meet BI and business needs.

Requirements:

You will need to have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong IT background, along with 5+ years of experience in development, testing, implementation, administration and support of BI Analytics platforms. Strong Experience in Tableau Product Suite (including 10.x or above).
• Experience with Tableau scripting / Rest API, or any other programming language.
• Understanding of Data warehouse concepts Star-schema dimensional modelling, Snow flake etc.
• Strong Experience in Building, publishing data sources/semantic layer, and dashboards.
• Driven, willing to excel in ambiguous situations with poorly defined requirements, and ready. to go the extra mile when necessary.
• Tableau Server related certification.
• Experience with R Studio, Python would be an asset.
