London / Hybrid - 2/3 days a week in the office

The Head of Agency Operations will report into the CMO, taking responsibility to lead and oversee operational performance of the agency, ensuring the efficient resource management, strategic alignment and a high-performing team culture. The Head of Agency Operations is directly responsible for the day to day management of the global digital agencies. 

This role requires a strong business acumen and thorough knowledge of marketing agency practices and processes. The ideal candidate will have extensive management experience in a dynamic setting and you can pivot with the daily requirements of running a global agency network.

You will need to be well versed in corporate finances and play an active role in the financial health of the agency, along with supporting the HR and IT functions, creating a world-class operating environment for the agencies employees. This role requires outstanding organisational, communication and leadership skills as well as an ability to develop innovative solutions that see the business into a high-growth future. 

 

Role Responsibilities: 

 - Actively drive and participate in ensuring the overall agency and employee experience is aligned with the business culture and requirements 
 - Manage and develop relationships and agreements with the internal and external stakeholders and make key recommendations and decisions regarding operational activities as well as ensuring corporate compliance
 - Oversee, coach and support the administration (office management) of the agency
 - Work with business partners to ensure smooth operational execution including HR and IT partners and functions align with finance, overseeing all financial and business planning activities 
 - Oversee and manage operating procedures and reviews, evaluates and help implement new procedures as required
 - Lead, manage and actively participate in any expansions or acquisitions as required
 - Manage new client onboarding and lifecylce management, including invoicing in partnership with the wider finance function
 - Act as a key liaison with the legal and accounting firms for business inquiries and contractual agreements 
 - Provide general Operational support to key strategic partners 

Experience: 

 - Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably within an agency or service-based environment 
 - Proven track-record of financial oversight, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control 
 - Demonstrating experience in HR partnerships, including talent management, employee relations and compliance 
 - Experience implementing operational systems, tools and process improvements
 - Familiarity with agency workflows, client servicing models and cross-functional team dynamics
 - Minimum 4-5 years experience managing complex agency operational structures across multiple functions, time zones and geographies 
 - Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks and prioritise dead-lines by urgency
