SUMMARY
This vacancy requires an experienced Marketing Data Analyst. Joining the Marketing Operations team, the ideal candidate will be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics, including mining, analysis and visualisation. This person should be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. Experience in data warehousing and generating a library of tools to help our brand leaders create successful products are a necessity.

In the role you will lead the gathering, filtering, and warehousing of data for multiple brands. Supporting the development and growth of the brands by overseeing the processes and systems used for data analysis and reporting, authoring technical requirements for IT developers to build new features and enhancements and increasing the usability and effectiveness of reporting and data analysis. Collaborating closely with the Head of Marketing Operations in the development of features, functionality and integrations that drive growth to the websites, apps and information databases.

This is an exciting role that will require experience in working with data in a modern marketing technology stack, being hands-on working with marketers, programmers, engineers, and management to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and maintain data governance strategies. The ideal candidate should have effective communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects at any given time, strong organisation skills and pay great attention to detail. Previous experience leveraging advanced data science and analytics in a fast paced marketing environment would be advantageous.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Data Analyst will:

• Work collaboratively with marketing operations and brand teams to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIs that deliver actionable insights.

• Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined marketing technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance.

• Taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks.

• Develop and maintain cloud based databases by acquiring data from multiple sources, building scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible and scalable across datasets.

• Proactively analyse data to answer key questions in the growth of our brands, with an eye on what drives performance, investigating opportunities and areas of improvement in efficiency and productivity.

• Utilise best-practice to create and maintain rich visualisations and reports based on data mining, analysis, and interpretation from multiple data sources.

• Evaluate organisational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets.

• Evaluate systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.

• Work directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.

• Prepare, maintain and present weekly status reports.

• Assist in the preparation of summary reports and post-campaign analysis.

• Work on internal projects and administrative tasks as required.

 

REQUIREMENTS
The Marketing Data Analyst should come with most or all of the following:

• 5+ years experience of mining data as a Data Analyst in a marketing environment.

• Advanced knowledge of cloud based data warehousing, marketing automation, data mining and ingestion.

• Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and research methods.

• A strong understanding of developing algorithms, building customer datasets and process modelling.

• Ability to interpret and present data/results (both written and verbal) to stakeholders in engaging and meaningful ways.

• Advanced knowledge of cloud based data platforms and solutions, MS Office software applications, Power Point and Excel is a must.

• Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously within a complex organisation.

• Experience managing multiple projects at the same time with proven time management skills.
