Manchester / Hybrid - 2 days a week in the office

Managing Editor / Digital Marketing Agency / 25 days holiday plus bank holidays / Private Health Care / Hybrid working

 

The Managing Editor will be joining the Lifestyle division of an established Digital Marketing agency who operate globally with market leading clients. Helping to shape the content output for the agency for a couple of key clients. 

 

Reporting into the Head of Vertical, the Managing Editor will:

- Lead daily content output across two finance and crypto-focused publications, spanning editorial, video, and audio formats.

- Define and execute a commercially-minded content strategy aligned with audience growth and monetisation goals (advertising, affiliate, sponsorship).

- Act as the final decision-maker on content quality and editorial standards.
 
- Ideate and implement new initiatives to increase reach, engagement, and monetisable traffic.

Build and manage a network of freelancers, content creators, and contributors with clear performance metrics.
 
- Manage and oversee agency deliverables and output.

Own and maintain the content calendar, staffing, and editorial planning around campaigns and events.

Monitor performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to improve content outcomes.

Build relationships with partners, advertisers, affiliates, and event organisers to generate content opportunities.
 

The Managing Editor will need to have
5+ years of experience in content production, editorial, journalism, or marketing with a strong focus on finance. this is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to help shape strategy and vision for the future of this division, implementing new initiatives that not only align with business gaols, but help drive engagement.
