The Background

We are partnered with a world class IT services provider based in Spain but with a global presence who are looking for an experienced Major Incident Manager to join them on an initial 6 month FTC.

We’re looking for a Major Incident Manager who thrives under pressure and knows how to lead when the stakes are high. You’ll take charge of P1 / P2 incidents, cut through the noise, and drive recovery - fast, calm, and with absolute clarity. Here is what you’ll be accountable for:

• End-to-end ownership of Major / Severity Incidents, leading technical bridge calls and coordinating resolver teams to restore services fast
• Clear, confident stakeholder communication, delivering timely updates and acting as the trusted voice during high-pressure situations
• Accurate incident management, including timelines, impact assessment, PMIRs, and post-incident root-cause collaboration
• Continuous improvement, contributing to reporting, identifying process gaps, and strengthening Service Desk capability through guidance and training

To be a successful Major Incident Manager you will have…

• Previous experience in a similar role managing Major Incidents
• Strong understanding of ITIL principles (especially Major Incident, Problem and Change Management)
• Confidence managing technical relationships and summarizing complex technical issues for different stakeholders
• Excellent leadership skills and highly organised
