We’ve partnered with a remote-first digital marketing agency that works with ambitious organizations to drive sustainable, long-term growth. Through a strategy-led, full-funnel approach, the agency delivers integrated marketing solutions spanning paid media, creative, SEO, content development, and multi-channel distribution.

As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Director of SEO Strategy and Growth to lead high-impact, strategy-first engagements and help shape the future of organic and AI-driven search.

The Director of SEO Strategy and Revenue is a strategy-first role focused on driving high-value, insight-led engagements. While the Account Executive owns the end-to-end sales process—including pipeline management and contract execution—this role is responsible for bringing strategic depth and marketing subject matter expertise into complex opportunities.

The ideal candidate plays a critical role in shaping how the organization shows up in proposals and late-stage sales conversations, ensuring a clear, differentiated point of view. You will develop and refine repeatable strategic frameworks, while maintaining strong alignment between what is sold and what is ultimately delivered.

This role requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, and a high degree of fluency in AI-driven search and discovery. Deep expertise in GEO, AEO, and emerging platforms such as Reddit is essential, given the company’s positioning and growth trajectory.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and drive new revenue growth through strategic, consultative selling
  • Lead complex sales cycles, shaping opportunities from early-stage discovery through close
  • Deliver high-impact sales conversations with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Develop and present compelling, data-backed proposals that clearly articulate value
  • Partner with internal Growth, Strategy, and Delivery teams to align on solutions and execution feasibility
  • Ensure all opportunities are positioned for successful delivery and long-term client impact
  • Support expansion opportunities within existing accounts through strategic insight and relationship building

Strategic & Analytical Execution

  • Leverage SEO and competitive intelligence tools (e.g., Ahrefs, Profound, SpyFu, SEMrush) to validate opportunities and strengthen recommendations
  • Confidently walk prospects through live data during sales calls to build credibility and trust
  • Translate complex data into clear, persuasive narratives that support strategic investment decisions
  • Use insights to proactively address objections and accelerate deal momentum

Executive Presence & Influence

  • Demonstrate strong executive presence in client interactions, particularly with C-level stakeholders
  • Confidently lead conversations that influence investment in strategic work
  • Build, present, and defend proposals with clarity, authority, and commercial acumen
  • Effectively navigate high-stakes conversations and decision-making environments

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of agency experience as a B2B content marketing and SEO strategist
  • Strong understanding of AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), with a clear perspective on how the search landscape has evolved
  • Familiarity with emerging platforms and communities (e.g., Reddit) is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of B2B social media channels
  • Established presence as a thought leader on LinkedIn, with demonstrated ability to build credibility and influence an audience
  • Proven experience in strategy-led sales, consulting, or a similar client-facing role
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience building and presenting proposals that win new business and drive expansion
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and close senior decision-makers
  • Deep familiarity with SEO and competitive analysis tools (Ahrefs, Profound, SpyFu, SEMrush, etc.)
  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and compelling narratives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
